Since receiving approval of its charter on May 28, 2026, the Tampa Bay Chapter of Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. has experienced extraordinary growth and community engagement. In just a few months, the Chapter has built its Founding Membership to 97 members, bringing together veterans, educators, aviation and aerospace professionals, business and community leaders, parents, and supporters committed to preserving and advancing the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen. The Chapter has established its leadership structure and committees while developing the organizational infrastructure necessary to support long-term programming throughout the Tampa Bay region.

A major focus of the Chapter has been the development of the Red Tails Student Ambassador Program (RTSA) and its partnership with Hillsborough County Public Schools (HCPS). The partnership is creating opportunities to introduce elementary, middle, and high school students to the history and legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen while providing meaningful exposure to aviation, aerospace, STEM, drones, leadership development, mentorship, and career pathways.
